2008 - The Story of Mastering Investing.
The journey to master investing is a difficult one. When I first started, I was alone. I had no mentor, no guidance from anyone. But I was and still driven. I am willing to try and experiment. I am willing to do WHATEVER it takes to become a successful investor.
2009 - Started alone.
First, I started with reading. I’m a big reader. I read over 100+ books in investing, business and strategy. I was lost and overwhelmed with the amount of information. I spent every night testing, learning, failing forward for 8 years straight. I made well over 10,000 trades and spent well over 10,000 hours to master investing. Over the same period of time, I keep acquiring academic skills. After I graduated from high school, I know I need to get smarter.
2015 - Bachelor's, Masters and CPA.
I got a university degree from one of the top 30 universities in the world - UBC. But I didn't stop there. I know I need to get even SMARTER. So, I went to masters degree. On top of that, I’m an audit manager at KPMG (one of the biggest 4 accounting firms in the world). This is where I master analyzing companies’ performance. Now, here I am.
2016 - Oil crash and how I earned 88% on my first investment
In 2014, the oil per barrel dropped from $115 to only $35 in 2016. A lot of people lost their job. In Canada, people are leaving oil towns such as Edmonton and Calgary to look for another job. Some good companies such as Teck Resources dropped 97% from $64 to only $2.5 (lowest low).
When great companies such as Teck resources dropped so much, I invested in the company. In late 2016, I sold the shares and earned 88% on my first investment. This is when I made my first 88% from the stock market. This is also the investing strategy I teach in Investing Accelerator.
2016 - How I profit 102% from airplane delays
In 2016, one of my favourite airlines - Southwest Airlines had to cancelled a lot of flights due to IT issues. Their stock price tanked and it was not good for shareholders. Over the years, I know Southwest is a strong and durable company. Thus, I invested in Southwest Airlines when others avoid.
Using the strategy I teach in Investing Accelerator, I made 102% from Southwest Airlines by the end of 2016 as well. This is the beginning of my journey to double my portfolio and tripling it later.
2018 - Coaching my first student to make 100% return
Once I am able to generate results consistently, I naturally help my friends and family succeed as well.
Then, I started coaching people on investing.
Craig is a senior graphics designer in New Zealand. He is 42 years old, married with a lovely son. He was always passionate about investing but he was busy with life and raising his family, he didn’t get to fully commit to investing. 2018 - Triple my account in 2.5 years (215% return)
In 2018, just 2.5 years after I use this investing strategy, I tripled my account. This means I made over 200% return from the market. When you compare this to regular ETF funds and index, I am 5 to 7 times higher than the index as of May 16 2018.
